Spanish company CUENDE Infometrics has picked up the coveted Technological Innovation Award presented by the outdoor ad industry trade association FEPE International.
The award recognises CUENDE’s revolutionary audiences measuring system for the contribution it has made to the outdoor (Out-of-Home, or OOH) advertising industry. The system combines analysis of big data and the detection of vehicles in hi-res satellite images with data obtained from interconnected cars and smartphone apps in GPS traffic flows. Once collected, the information is integrated with travel habits surveys, thus allowing OOH companies, advertisers and media agencies to obtain audience measurements on both panels and networks. The information also includes socio-demographic and lifestyle profiling, which provides the OOH industry with audience data comparable with the geo-planning metrics available to other advertising media.
CUENDE’s has developed an automated, transparent system for out-of-home audiences, accessible from around the world via satellite images and other geo-big data and positioning CUENDE as the first universal supplier of global data.
The award, presented in Stockholm on June 9, 2017, was collected by Daniel Cuende, Innovation Manager at CUENDE Infometrics. Commenting on the award, he said, “We are very proud to be recognised as the most innovative company in the outdoor advertising industry.” Cuende was quick to point out that the company’s success was down to the continuing efforts of the entire CUENDE team, whose members innovate on a daily basis as part of the corporate philosophy – a hallmark of the company since the day it was founded.
